Babies seem like they grow over night and they grow based primarily on their nervous system. Our nervous system which provides all the information to our organs, muscles and bones is made up from our central nervous system which comes directly from our brain. The spine houses this incredible fast growing network of nerves through the spinal cord. The spines number #1 job with babies is to house the developing nervous system. If there are any misalignments of disruptions then the nervous system cannot do its job which is to relay information from the brain to the body and the body back to the brain.

There is much normal trauma that occurs in developing fetus during pregnancy aside from the intense pressure that babies endure during the birthing process. Then as babies grow and become upright there are many pitfalls and accidents along the way as they learn fight gravity. Getting gentle baby adjustments helps to keep their nervous system working at its best and allows babies to grow to their full potential. Regular gentle adjustments helps with they’re developing motor skills and coordination. Spinal & body adjustments help to keep the growing child in proper positioning so like a tree they are supported to grow upright and strong not bent over and weak.

The Chiropractic adjustments done on babies is so gentle that you can barely tell that it is happening. Many times it is done while the baby is lying on the parents chest who is lying on the doctors adjustment table. There is no forceful adjustments as babies have completely different body structure and bone anatomy than a full grown adult. Babies don’t even have all the bones that adults do which is why they can squeeze through the birth canal. Baby adjusting is easy, and gentle. Most babies will take a nice long nap after they have been adjusted because their nervous system is reconfiguring itself which causes the baby to go into a sleep or restful mode.
